Meet me...Hi there!
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit! I hope you find yourself inspired & smiling while browsing through the photos that I cherish so much. I have met some amazing people on this journey & it has opened my eyes to a beautiful world! A little bit about myself. I'm Amanda...I was born in southern California & moved to the Lake Norman area with my family when I was a young child. I have found that I love North Carolina! The Carolina blue sky, Lake Norman, Autumn nights, good old southern BBQ, & of course the fact that I can get to the mountains or the beach in a matter of hours! I tied the knot to my sincere best friend, Thomas, in 2012, and we are all about loving and living life. My husband & I have two dogs, Max & Lucy, who hold our hearts. I fell in love with photography after several years of taking photos of children all around me. I attended UNC-Charlotte & graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Development. I had always loved photography & was very interested in the subject, but to be honest with you I was terrified to do anything further with that interest. My wonderful husband bought my first professional camera & from there I fell in love. A teacher at heart, my passion is spending time with children & families. I love sharing precious moments with parents & their children, & capturing the wonder of children & the world through photos. I believe in the poetic moments. I believe in capturing those moments so that a couple can look back on their daughters birth & see that one silly face she made in the hospital, that would have otherwise been forgotten. Or the glance a son gives to his father during a Christmas session; the glance that shows how much that little boy looks up to his daddy. The arms of a man wrapped around his soon to be wife, holding her, reassuring her that he will always be there, even after the "I Do's" are long gone. These poetic moments that we can freeze in time through the art photography...that is why I fell so hard in love with the art. Thank you again for visiting, & I hope to meet you someday!
